Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics Lab
Primary Orthotic/Prosthetic Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider for the University Health System and UT Medicine here in San Antonio and provide our practitioners the ability to design the typical and atypical, to include custom made orthotics and prosthetics for upper and lower extremities for adult and pediatric patients. We are appropriately licensed and certified in accordance with state and federal guidelines and our facilites are fully accredited. Full time physician support is immediately available to the Orthotic/Prosthetic Lab if and when required. We are located in the San Antonio area at UT Health San Antonio and the Texas Diabetes Institute. Both facilities are licensed by the State of Texas and hold ABC certification.
Our labs provide the patient with a variety of unique services. In addition to a high standard of quality and patient care we offer the following services:
- Fully trained technical staff able to meet unique orthotic and prosthetic needs
- Majority of the custom devices we fit are fabricated in house
- Technical staff has experience working with many types of materials, some of which include metal, leather, various plastics and laminates
- Labs are an integral part of providing professional DME support for:
- Texas Diabetes Institute clinics, physicians and podiatrists
- University Hospital
- Pediatric Rehabilitation Inpatient Service at Christus Santa Rosa
- PM&R Inpatient Service at Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital
- Private practitioners throughout San Antonio and surrounding area
